Delta PCB Design
Curriculum Vitae of Zarnescu George
Profile
I am a motivated and enthusiastic Electronics PCB Design Engineer with experience designing and implementing complex electronics boards for 12 years, with post graduate experience in an university environment for 6 years and 3 years as an instructor, teaching electronics and electrotechnology courses. I have a strong understanding and practical knowledge of complex analog and high-speed digital circuits with emphasis on designing, simulating, implementing, debugging and soldering. I have a broad knowledge of working with oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, signal generators, digital analyzers, hot air stations and electronic boards. I possess a good knowledge of psychology and pedagogy subjects, managing well a class of students. I am a very curious individual with good manners.
Employment History
  • 07/2013 – Present Electronics PCB Design Engineer – Remote
    I have successfully completed various projects taking into account all the detailed requirements and have met all the expectations.
    Most important projects:
  • 10/2011 – 10/2015 Teaching Assistant in the Electronics and Communications Systems Department – Maritime University Constanta
    Brought in by Maritime University of Constanta to teach the Analog Electronics Systems, Digital Electronics Systems, Digital Signal Processing and Communications Processors laboratories.
    Main activities:
    • Setting up the experimental apparatus involving passive components (resistors, capacitors, inductors and/or transformers) and active components (diodes, LEDs, MOS transistors, microcontrollers, microprocessors, PLDs and/or FPGAs);
    • Using different types of connector cables and wires (simple jumpers, coaxial, RS232, IDE, USB, HDMI and SATA cables);
    • Using and setting up multimeters (voltmeter, miliampermeter, ampermeter, ohmmeter or transistor meter), analog and digital oscilloscopes, spectrum and digital logic analyzers;
    • Using variable current and voltage supply sources which were often connected in the experiments;
    • Using JTAG and USB programmers to load software binary files in the microcontroller’s or FPGA’s SRAM and/or EEPROM/FLASH memory;
    • Using analog and digital electronic circuits designing software (Orcad Suite, Altium Designer, and Altera Quartus II);
    • Using different types of electronics like character LCD and LCD TFT displays, 7 segment displays, temperature, pressure, humidity sensors, CMOS optical sensors and Bluetooth communications modules;
    • Using high speed Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog converter modules to acquire analog data in a digital form that were processed using C algorithms on a computer;
    • Writing educational materials for the above mentioned laboratories in accordance to the internal and external pedagogical standards;
    • Managing teaching activities with a class of students.
  • 06/2012 – 08/2012 Researcher Electronics Design Engineer – Grenoble Institute of Technology, GIPSA Lab
    Brought in by GIPSA Lab to design various digital electronics systems that were used to detect electric arcs in the free field.
    Main activities:
    • The design of a digital controller for an infrared camera using VHDL language;
    • The implementation of the digital controller in an FPGA development board;
    • The design of an algorithm, written in ANSI C programming language, that computed in real time the spectrogram of a digitized acoustic signal.
  • 10/2009 – 09/2011 Teaching Assistant in the Electronics Department – “Ovidius” University Constanta
    Brought in by “Ovidius” University Constanta to teach the Digital Electronics Systems and Microcontroller Circuits laboratories.
